Biography

Aleksandr Mozin was a Soviet speed skater who represented Dynamo Nizhny Novgorod. At the USSR Championships Mozin won silver in the 10,000 metres in 1981 and bronze in the 5,000 metres in 1984. At the 1986 European Speed Skating Championships he won the silver medal in the all-round event after winning the 5,000 and 10,000 metres, finishing in sixth place in the 1,500 metres, and finishing 19th in the 500 metres. Mozin competed in the 10,000 metres at the 1988 Calgary Olympics where he finished in 18th place.

Personal Bests: 500 – 39.49 (1984); 1000 – 1:20.92 (1985); 1500 – 1:56.8 (1985); 5000 – 6:55.54 (1981); 10000 – 14:28.91 (1988).
