Biography

Austrian luger Gerhard Sandbichler was a three-time Olympian from 1980 at Lake Placid to 1988 at Calgary. In 1980, he finished fifth in the men’s singles as his best Olympic result. He later turned to coaching and was material manager for the Austrian national team. He was employed by the municipality of Innsbruck.
