Biography

Jürgen Bremer was an East German whitewater canoeist who finished eighth in the K-1 at the 1972 München Olympics, where canoe slalom events were held on the canoe slalom course of Augsburg for the first time (and for the last time until 1992). Bremer won three gold medals at World Championships: folding-K-1 in 1963, K-1 and K-1 team in 1967, and a silver with the K-1 team in 1971. He also won East German titles in 1963-63, and 1966-68.
