John Taylor was a Canadian cross-country skier who represented the Ottawa Ski Club. In 1932 Taylor was selected to compete in the 18 kilometres event at the Lake Placid Olympic where he finished 39th. In 1935 he beat more than 40 other competitors to become the national champion at the Canadian Championships. In the winter of 1945-46 Taylor built a ski tow at Dome Hill, Ottawa.
