The mixed team of Julie Heldman (USA) and Rosie Reyes won the event by defeating the American team of Peaches Bartkowicz and Valerie Ziegenfuss in the final. Reyes was Mexican but soon was to marry French player Pierre Darmon and represented France at the 1968 Olympics.
