Biography

Jan Wüstenfeld was a German biathlete who participated in just one Olympic race, over 20 km at the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics. He placed a disappointing 32nd. At European Championships he won a bronze medal in 1996 and a gold medal in 2000, both with the relay.

Wüstenfeld later married biathlete Katja Beer, and her father Manfred became his father-in-law. Wüstenfeld studied medicine and specialized in sport medicine. He subsequently became the team doctor of the German national biathlon team.
