Biography

Kimmie Williams was primarily a Jamaican triple jumper who competed at the 2012, 2016, and 2020 Olympic Games, making the final of her signature event each time. She attended college in the United States at Florida State University, where she was a five-time NCAA Champion, winning the long jump and triple jump outdoors in 2009, and winning the indoor triple jump title in 2009-11.

Williams twice won the Commonwealth Games title in the triple jump, in 2014 and 2018. She won the Penn Relays in 2008 and 2009 and was a six-time Jamaican Champion. Williams won three medals at the World Indoor Championships, with silver in 2018 and bronzes in 2014 and 2022. She was a five-time finalist at the World Championships, consecutively from 2013-22 with best finishes of fourth in 2013 and 2019.
