Biography

Jörg Kempenich was a (West) German sabre fencer who participated in two consecutive Olympic Games, at Seoul in 1988 and Barcelona in 1992. He finished sixth and fifth in the team events and 17th in the individual event in 1992. Between 1989 and 1991 he won one team silver and two bronzes, also at the Worlds.

Professionally, Kempenich became managing partner of the RENUM project group, which was dealing with real estates in the Bonn area for over 20 years. He also became vice-president, and later president, of his home club OFC Bonn.
