Biography

Xia Jiaping was a Chinese tennis player who played professionally from 1988 to 2009. Xia achieved a career-best singles ranking of #252 in the world in April 1991, and a doubles ranking of #313 in the world in November 1994. He played on China’s Davis Cup team from 1989 to 1997. Xia won two golds at the 1990 Asian Games and a gold and a bronze at the 1994 Asian Games. He competed in the doubles at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, partnering with Meng Qianghua and Pan Bing, respectively.
