Biography

Miguel Nido was a Puerto Rican professional tennis player who played for Puerto Rico’s Davis Cup team in 1992 and 1993. Nido achieved a career-best singles ranking of #120 in the world in April 1990, and a doubles ranking of #146 in the world in April 1990.

Nido won six medals across three editions of the Central American and Caribbean Games, including a gold in the doubles in 1986. At the 1991 Pan American Games he won a further gold in the doubles, and a silver in the team event. Nido competed in the doubles at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics with his partner Juan Ríos but they were eliminated in the first round of the tournament.
