Sabrina Goleš

Sabrina Goleš was a Croatian tennis player who played professionally from 1983 to 1990, representing Yugoslavia. Goleš achieved a career-best singles ranking of 27 in the world in February 1987, and a doubles ranking of 55 in the world in January 1987.

Goleš won her first ITF singles title in April 1983 in Bari, Italy, beating Australia’s Elizabeth Minter. From 1987 to 1989 she won one WTA Tour singles title and three doubles titles. Her best result at a Grand Slam was reaching the fourth round in the singles at the 1984 French Open. Goleš competed at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics and the 1988 Seoul Olympics. In Los Angeles, where tennis was a demonstration sport, she played in the singles, losing in the final to Steffi Graf. At the Seoul Games she reached the second round, losing to Gabriela Sabatini of Argentina.
