Biography

West German rower Victor Hendrix failed to reach the final with the coxless fours at the 1960 Roma Olympics, losing closely to the USA boat in the semifinals. One year earlier he earned a West German national title with Neußer RV and the silver medal at the Europeans.

Hendrix then completed his mechanical engineering studies in Aachen. In 1962, the graduate engineer started a professional apprentice at the PLU Pierburg Aeronautical Union Union (later A. Pierburg - Auto- und Luftfahrzeugbau, and then TRW), based at Neuss. After his retirement he moved to France (Provence) with his second wife.
