Ten years later he participated as a rower at the 1906 Intercalated Games. Karakatsanis was one of the crew in the 17-man naval rowing boat with his boat finishing in fourth place. The race took place over 3,000 metres with 16 oarsmen per boat each with a “leader” who served as a coxswain and cheerleader.
