Biography

German swimmer Kati Jansen twice reached the 4x100 metres freestyle relay finals at the Olympics. Firstly at Helsinki in 1952 when the German team finished seventh, and four years later in Melbourne when they finished fourth. She also took part in the individual 100 metes freestyle in 1956 but was eliminated in the heats. She did win a bronze with the relay team at the 1954 European Championships at Torino.
