Biography

West German breaststroke swimmer Angelika Knipping finished 12th overall in the 100 metres event at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. She was also a substitute for the 4x100 metres medley relay but did not start. Nationally, she won titles over 100 metres in 1978-79, and 1982-84, and over 200 metres in 1979.

By profession, Knipping became staff manager at Striebel & John, a company dealing with energy distribution systems and partner to the electrical trade industry.
