Biography

German swimmer Walter Handschuhmacher was eliminated in the preliminaries of both the 400 and the 1,500 freestyle at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics. From 1926-29 he was German Champion in open water swimming over 7.5 km. He also won the 1928 national title in the 1,500 free.
