Biography

Pilar Ramírez was a synchro swimmer who competed at the 1984 Olympics when that sport made its début. Ramírez had won two bronze medals in duet and team at the 1983 Pan American Games. She also won a gold medal in the team event, free routine at the 1982 Central American and Caribbean Games. During her career Ramírez competed internationally in the USA, Canada, and throughout Europe. She later practiced yoga and became a yoga instructor.
