Biography

German archer Sandra Wagner-Sachse, sister of Marion Wagner, won two team medals at the 1996 Atlanta (silver) and the 2000 Sydney (bronze) Olympics. Individually she lost her first-round matches at both Games. At World Championships, she won a team gold medal in 1997 (indoor) and a team bronze in 1999. At the Europeans she won a team gold medal in 1998, silvers in 1994 and 2000, and a bronze in 1998 (indoor).

Wagner-Sachse was awarded the Silver Bay Leaf, Germany’s highest sports award in 2000. She later became a Regional Coach at Stuttgart.
