Biography

Cindy Noble played college basketball at the University of Tennessee where she led the Lady Volunteers to an 88-22 record and three Final Four appearances. She was an All-American in 1980-81 and then played professional basketball in Italy and Japan for three seasons. She had been a member of the 1980 US Olympic team that did not compete, and again made the Olympic team in 1984, winning a gold medal at Los Angeles. After the Los Angeles Olympics Noble coached basketball, first as an assistant at the University of Kentucky and then became head coach at Centre College in Kentucky. Noble is a member of the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame, the University of Tennessee Lady Vol Hall of Fame and the Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame.
