Biography

Point guard Kai Nürnberger was on the German basketball squad that finished seventh at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics after winning the classification match versus Puerto Rico, 96-86. In total, he earned 136 international caps and was European Champion in 1993.

On the club level, Nürnberger played with MTV Wolfenbüttel (until 1983), Benson Consolidated (USA, 1983-84), Southern Illinois University (USA, 1984-89), Galatasaray Köln (1989-90), Steiner Bayreuth (1990-91), TTL Bamberg (1991-99), Frankfurt Skyliners (1999-2003), and TSV Tröster Breitengrüßbach (2003-04).

Nürnberger moved back to the United States after his active career and worked there professionally for a supplier to the automotive industry.
