Biography

Erna Maisack was a 400 metre runner who was eliminated in the heats at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, when the 400 was an Olympic competition for women for the first time. The same year she also became West German Champion. She initially worked as household help and was employed since 1963 by the adult education center in her hometown of Plaidt as a sports instructor.

Personal Best: 400 – 55.2 (1964).
