Biography

Sprinter Heinz Schumann was born in Brazil to German parents. He competed at the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games in the 100 and 200 metres, placing fifth in the 100, while he was eliminated in the semifinals of the 200. At the 1962 Europeans Schumann placed sixth in the 200 and was eliminated in the second round of the 100. Nationally he was West German Champion in the 100 in 1962, the 200 in 1964, and the 60 indoors in 1963.

Personal Bests: 100 – 10.46 (1964); 200 – 20.8 (1962).
