Biography

Pat Donnelly was a high hurdler who competed for numerous entities in Southern California, including Cal Pol San Luis Obispo, Cal Poly Pomona, San Diego State University and the Los Angeles Track Club. She was AIAW Champion in the high hurdles in 1970. Representing the US as a hurdler, she twice competed in the Universiade (1970 and 1973), and twice competed at the Pan American Games (1971 and finishing fourth 1975). She was formerly married to 1976 Olympic shot putter Pete Shmock. In 1971 Donnelly was named Miss La Mesa (California) in a beauty pageant representing that city near San Diego.

Personal Bests: 100 – 12.3 (1968); 100H – 13.52 (1976); SP – 35-2 [10.72] (1977); Pen – 3466 (1972).
