Biography

Georgios Skouzes played only doubles at the 1906 Athina Olympics. He was paired with Ioannis Ketseas, who was one of the founders of the International Olympic Academy and a future IOC Member. The pair had a bye in round one and then lost in straight sets in round two. Skouzes was a banker who was descended from a prominent Athenian family. His father, Alexander, was a member of the Greek Parliament and Minister for Foreign Affairs (1895-97, 1902, 1904-07).
