Biography

Nanna Egedius was – in the absence of Sonja Henie – Norwegian figure skating champion five years in a row, from 1932 to 1936. She had the following placements at major international championships – 1931 World Championships (7th); 1933 World Championships (7th); 1934 World Championships (8th); 1935 World Championships (7th); 1934 European Championships (6th); 1935 European Championships (10th). Egedius also competed in swimming, and was a capable tennis player. She ended her competitive career after the 1936 Games, married and lived in Oslo for the rest of her life.
