Biography

Birgit Keppler-Stein was a German freestyler skier who specialised in the moguls. She finished fifth at the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics, and 20th at the 1994 Lillehammer Games. In 1991, she won a bronze medal at the World Championships. Keppler-Stein also podiumed in six World Cup races (one second and five third places). By profession, she became a graduated freelance architect. She was also engaged as a sports administrator and became executive board member of the Regional Olympic Center at Stuttgart, and also with her home club VfL Pfullingen.
