Biography

Rita Trapanese competed at two Olympic Winter Games, four World Championships, and seven European Championships. She competed at the World between 1967-17, improving from 13th in 1967 and 1969, to eighth in 1970 and fifth in 1971. At the Europeans Trapenese also improved almost every year, placing 18th in 1966 and 1968, 15th in 1967, but improving to 4th in 1970, 3rd in 1971, and 2nd in 1972. Trapenese died in a car accident alongside her husband.
