Biography

American-born figure skater Eileen Zillmer won the women’s singles at the West German Championships from 1969-71. Her mother, Madeleine Zillmer (née Mueller), was a West German skating coach. At the 1968 Grenoble Winter Games Eileen was placed 19th. She also participated in two World Championships, finishing ninth in 1969 and 10th in 1970, and three European Championships, when she finished 10th in both 1969 and 1970, and ninth in 1971. Her brother Eric was a downhill skier.
