Biography

Sylvain Guillaume competed in Nordic combined, winning two Olympic medals, an individual silver in 1992 behind his teammate Fabrice Guy, and a bronze in the 1998 team event at Nagano. Guillaume competed in World Cup events from 1987-2001, with five podium appearances, including one victory, at Liberec in January 1996. He had three top 10s in the seasonal World Cup standings, sixth in 1996 and 1998 and seventh in 1992. A five-time French champion (1988, 1994, 1996, 1999, 2001), Guillaume later worked in a civil job with the Douanes administrative department.
