Biography

Goalkeeper Ulli Jansen was a member of the West German ice hockey team that finished sixth in the 1956 Cortina d’Ampezzo Winter Olympics. He played with just one club, Krefelder EV and they won the West German Championship in 1952. At the 1954 World Championships he was named Germany’s MVP. Jansen won 71 international caps and was inducted into the German Hockey Hall of Fame. He was a trained optician and ran his own shop in Krefeld after he ended his playing career.
