Kurt Sepp

Forward Kurt Sepp was a member of the West German ice hockey teams at three consecutive Winter Olympics 1956-64. Until 1956 he played club hockey with EV Füssen and won four consecutive West German titles 1953-56. He then moved to Mannheimer ERC and stayed with them until 1967. When he finished his playing career he first coached Mannheim before a move to Switzerland where he coached EHC Basel from 1970-73. The finest moment of Sepp’s career was in finishing second to Sweden in the 1953 World Championship final, which was West Germany’s best ever finish at the Worlds. He won 104 international caps and scored 35 goals. In 1988 he was inducted into the German Hockey Hall of Fame.
