Biography

Carl Swenson competed in cross-country skiing at the 1994, 2002, and 2006 Winter Olympics. He was also a top mountain biker, competing several times at the World Championships, and winning a silver medal in mountain biking at the 1999 Pan American Games. He was also the 2000 US Champion in mountain biking.

Swenson attended Dartmouth College and then went to the S. J. Quinney School of Law at the University of Utah. He became a criminal defense lawyer for the New Hampshire Public Defender Agency. Swenson also worked in sports administration, serving on the International Ski Federation board from 2004-06, and was on the Board of Directors of the US Anti-Doping Agency starting in 2007.
