Biography

West German Alpine skier Karl Zillibiller participated in the 1956 Cortina d’Ampezzo Winter Olympics, finishing 19th in the downhill and 25th in the slalom. The previous year he won his only national title, in the giant slalom. His father Max was the owner of a cheese factory, mayor of his hometown Hindelang after World War II, and a well known socially engaged politician with the right-wing party CSU in the Regional Parliament of Bavaria.
