The men’s skeet shooting event at the 2024 Summer Olympics took place on August 2 and 3, at the Châteauroux Shooting Centre in France, featuring 30 competitors from 25 nations.
In the qualification round, Conner Prince led with a score of 124 out of 125, advancing to the final alongside Tammaro Cassandro of Italy, Lee Meng-Yuan (TPE), Vincent Hancock (USA), Stefan Nilsson of Sweden, and Nicolás Pacheco of Peru.
American shooter Vincent Hancock secured the gold medal, marking his fourth Olympic gold in men’s skeet. His teammate and prodigy, Conner Prince, earned the silver medal, while Lee Meng-Yuan of Chinese Taipei took bronze. The final was competitive, with Hancock ultimately clinching the gold when Prince missed one of the final series of birds.
Hancock’s victory solidified his position as one of the most successful shooters in Olympic history, with a unique record of having won and retained his title twice with the interruption of a failure at the 2016 Olympics. Prince’s silver highlighted the overall strength of the U.S. shooting team, particularly in this event.
