This event was shot from 20 metres with a Gras model revolver, which had been designed in France in 1873. France’s Georges Fouconnier won the gold medal, with 219 points from a possible 300. Fouconnier won a complete set of medals in Athina, with a silver in the free pistol, and bronze in the team free rifle event.
