Shooters could choose either the kneeling or standing position, but presumably, everybody shot kneeling, which is a much more stable, and accurate, position. The gold medal went to Switzerland’s Marcel Mayer de Stadelhofen, who was five points ahead of his teammate, Konrad Stäheli. Little else is known of this event.
