Biography

Rachel Steer was a biathlete who competed at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. She was a 10-time US Champion and competed at the 2003 World Championships. At the 1997 World University Games, Steer won a silver medal in the 7.5 km biathlon and a bronze medal in the 15 km biathlon.

Steer graduated from the University of Alaska in 2007 with a degree in journalism and public communications. After college she started as an editor at Alaska Magazine but then joined Dowl, an engineering consultancy firm in Anchorage, where she first served as a corporate development manager, and then in 2017 became their chief administrative officer.
