Magdalena Grzybowska

Magdalena Grzybowska was a Polish tennis player who played professionally from 1995 to 2002. Grzybowska achieved a career-best singles ranking of 30 in the world in August 1998, and a doubles ranking of 86 in the world in September 1997.

Grzybowska won her first ITF singles title in August 1994 in Szczecin, Poland with victory over Alena Vašková of the Czech Republic. She would win three more singles titles and three doubles titles. At Grand Slam tournaments she reached the third round at the Australian Open, the French Open, and Wimbledon. Grzybowska competed in both the singles and doubles at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, losing in the first round in each. In 1998 Grzybowska suffered with a knee injury that would plague her for the rest of her playing career before she was forced to retire in 2002. She later worked as a sports commentator for Eurosport.
