Biography

Danil Khalimov wrestled Greco-Roman at the 2004 Athina Olympics. He also competed at the 2003 World Championships, and won a silver medal at the 2004 Asian Championships. After his competition days ended, Khalimov was a senior specialist in the professional training department of the personnel management department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Yekaterinburg. He also served as a major in the internal service in Kazakhstan. Sadly, Khalimov was a victim of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, dying from the effects of the virus.
