Biography

Deon Lendore was a 400-metre specialist who competed for Trinidad & Tobago at the 2016 and 2021 Olympic Games. He also competed at the World Championships in 2015 and 2019, the World Indoor Championships in 2016 and 2018, the 2018 Commonwealth Games, and the 2018 Pan American Games.

Lendore won multiple international medals, mostly in the 4x400 relay, although he won bronze medals in the open 400 at the 2016 and 2018 World Indoors Championships. In the 4x400 Lendore took home gold medals at the 2017 and 2019 World Relays, a silver medal at the 2015 World Championships, and bronze medals at the 2016 World Indoors and the 2019 Pan Am Games. Lendore tragically died at only 29-years of age in a motor vehicle accident.
