Biography

Alois Lampert was a cyclist from Liechtenstein who was active during the 1950s. In 1951 Lampert became the national road race champion and won the fourth stage of the Tour of Austria. These results earned him a place on the Olympic team for the 1952 Helsinki Games, where he came 30th in the individual road race, 14 minutes behind the race winner. In addition to competing at several UCI Road World Championships during the decade he also won the national road race title again in 1954 and 1958. Lampert was only 44-years-old when he died in February 1977.
