Biography

Pablo Uribe was a member of the Colombian national fencing team and was entered in all six events at the 1956 Melbourne Games, but only started in three of them: the individual and team foil and the team épée. In all of these events, he was eliminated in the first round. In the team event, he competed alongside Emilio Echeverry, Gabriel Blando, and Emiliano Camargo. The previous year, he had competed at the 1955 Pan American Games in the team foil with Echeverry, Blando, and the non-Olympian Flavio Acosta, placing sixth and last, and the team épée with Echeverry, Acosta, and Alfredo Yanguas.
