Fencer Hans Jörger won a bronze medal at the 1936 Berlin Olympics with the sabre team. He fenced for HC Hermannia Frankfurt, the leading German fencing club dominant in the 1920s and 1930s. They won the team championships in sabre from 1926-29, 1931-32, 1934, and 1937-38.
