German fencer Friedrich Schwarz competed at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics. He was eliminated in individual foil in the quarter-finals, and in the first round of individual épée, but reached the semi-finals in individual sabre. He competed in team foil, losing out in the first round, and team sabre, where Germany made it to the semi-finals. In 1911 Schwarz was one of the co-founders of the German Fencing Association and was elected to the board.
