Daniel Lawton played only doubles at the 1920 Olympics. He played the French Championships between 1902 and 1913, making the semi-finals 1908, 1909, and 1913, and the quarter-finals in 1902. Lawton lost in the final of the 1908 Bordeaux Tournament to Tony Wilding.
