Biography
Wilfred Holroyd officially became a US citizen in 1910. He arrived in the US from Britain in 1900, and renounced his British citizenship that year, and declared his intention to become a US citizen, but he did not apply for naturalization until October 1910. He also competed in the non-Olympic junior foil event in 1904 and finished third.
At the 1904 St. Louis Olympics, Holroyd was still a British citizen and there is no entry record of him with any club so we continue to list him as British, although some earlier sources had him as an American.
