Biography

Runar Granholm played singles and doubles at the 1924 Olympics. He also made the quarter-finals of the 1921 World Covered Court Championship. Granholm was Danish Open doubles champion in 1921-22 with Boris Schildt. He later became involved in sports administration, serving on the Finnish Olympic Committee Board of Directors from 1923-26. He was vice-president of HIFK (Helsingfors Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna) in 1920-22 and 1929-31, and was their secretary-general in 1915-17. Granholm was a member of the Lahti Organizing Committee for the 1926 FIS ski races.
