Biography

Mok Chun Wah was born in Hong Kong and played football domestically in that territory after World War II. After playing for several teams in the late 1940s, he joined South China AA in and went on to win numerous championships in the 1950s and the 1960s. He stuck with them through 1963, after which he played for Yuen Long through 1968. After two more years with various teams, he retired from active competition in 1970. Internationally, he played for the Republic of China and won gold medals in the tournaments at the 1954 and 1958 Asian Games. At the 1960 Rome Olympics, the nation was forced to participate under the name of “Formosa” and Mok played on their football team, which was eliminated in the preliminary round after losing all three of its games.
