Biography

Veronica Servente was an Italian gymnast in the early 1990s. She started national activity in 1990, at 13, when she finished sixth overall at the Italian Championships in Roma. The following year she helped her club win the Serie A national title and in 1992 she was runner-up on beam.

Servente was chosen for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and the World Championships that year. She also competed at the 1993 Worlds in Birmingham, where she unveiled a new vault, named in her honor. She competed at the 1994 Roma Grand Prix but was injured in 1995 at the Torino International Grand Prix, which ended her career at age 18. Servente remained with her club, Reale Ginnastica di Torino, where she coached and trained the team starting in the early 2010s.
