Biography

Wendy Cluff was a 17-year-old high school student in 1968, competing for the Southern California Acroscats. She later competed at the 1970 World Championships and the 1969 World Gymnaestrada in Berne, Switzerland. Cluff retired in 1971 and began teaching gymnastics at Gymnastics Internationale in San Diego, which she did for 10 years. She attended Cal State Long Beach and earned her degree in liberal arts and teaching, and then obtained a masters’ degree from Cal State San Diego in education. She later taught elementary school and became a coach for the U Cal San Diego Aztecs. She was inducted into the US Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 2012.
